Impressions of the Nutcracker Ballet by the 2nd Grade

The second graders are going to tell you about their trip to the Nutcracker Ballet (at the Oakland Ballet) and show you the pictures they drew. First, Evan and Sam will give you their preview of the story, then you can choose anybody's story and picture by clicking on their name.

We go on lots of field trips. This is a list of them: we went to Muir Woods and Kule Loklo in Point Reyes. The recent field trip we went on is the Nutcracker and that is what we are going to tell you.
In the beginning Herr Drosselmeyer and his nephew were making the Nutcracker for Marie. The nephew took the Nutcracker somewere in the snow. Then Herr Drosslmeyer tried to find it. The nephew put it in a box unnoticed by Herr Drosslmeyer. Then Marie started and the other kids started running around and doing stuff like throwing the presents up in the air. Herr Drosslmeyer came in and they stood in a line. The mother came in and she picked up the thing that the presents were behind. Then Herr Drosslmeyer came in. The next scene is when Marie gets the nutcracker. Marie started dancing with the nutcracker. She dropped it. The next scene takes place in the Land of the Sweets. The snow flakes started to dance. The snow flakes represent sugar. Another one was the Chinese Tea. They did not look like tea. Another one is Arabian Coffee, it was strange but cool.
