Yesterday we went to Sulphur Creek Nature Center. Our Naturalist was Wend. In the program Wend showed us a toad. It had poison in these bumps. It also had a white line down its back which meant stay way Iím poisonous and it had two lumps on its back. She also showed us a garter snake. It was scaly like most reptiles. It also felt rough and dry. He slithers a lot. She also showed us a box turtle which actually is a tortoise. Its name was Flash because it could run very fast for a tortoise. He could not close up because he was too fat. She showed us a king snake too. He had white stuff coming from his vent. It smelled cine of good. The white stuff was to keep enemies away. The second thing she showed us was a tiger salamander. It was black and part of its tail was growing back. It s head was shaped like a arrowhead. She also showed us a big turtle shell. It had a big backbone too. We saw a fox with three legs. We saw coyotes, we saw opossums. We saw lots of birds and a golden eagle which was beautiful. We also went to the lending library. We saw chinchillas, mice, rats and birds. We saw a very beautiful one too. It was white with red eyes.
