Mission Santa Inés was named after Saint Agnes. It was founded by Father Tapis on Sept. 17, 1804. It is located on the eastern edge of Solvang. It is the 19th mission. I was surprised to find out that it is the only mission that burned down during the Chumash Revolt. By Alex .G.
