Mission San Juan Capistrano is located in the town of San Juan Capistrano. It was named after Saint John of Capistrano. It is the 7th in the mission chain. It was founded by Father Junipero Serra in 1776. Interesting fact: Mission San Juan Capistrano is known for its click swallows that return every year. Mission San Juan Capistrano was 105 - 106 feet long, and not quite fifteen feet wide.
