San Fernando Rey de Espana is located in the city of San Fernando. It is the seventeenth mission in the mission chain. It was founded on September 8, 1797 by Father Fermin Lasuen. It is 243 feet long and 50 feet wide. It has 21 Roman arches along the front of the convento. Behind the convento to the right is the quadrangle. The outside of the fountain is shaped like a Moorish star.
