The 4th Grade class at BPC spent the first semester of school studying India. We focused particularly on the mythology of ancient India, and we read a children's version of the great epic, the "Ramayana", as well as a collection of stories about the childhood adventures of the Hindu deity, Krishna. We enjoyed a wonderful Indian lunch at the Kamal Palace restaurant in Berkeley, along with a concert of classical Indian music. Click here for pictures of our trip!
As a final assignment, each student chose a topic on Indian culture to do a project on. The following web pages are highlights of their projects. The children worked extremely hard on the projects as well as the web pages, and we hope you find them informative and interesting.
