Gothic Architecture
by Seth
Gothic architecture was first used in the 900s by the French. It allowed more light to come into cathedrals. It also made it possible to make them taller. Gothic architecture was exclusively used by the French until the 1000s, when the English discovered it.

In the 1200s Gothic architecture began to spread all over Europe. People started to build cathedrals to the point where they started to collapse. Then people started to realize that it was dumb to waste resources for unnecessary uses.

Gothic architecture began its decline during the 1450s. People began to use different styles of architecture such as, Tudor style. Gothic architecture has not completely disappeared because the church has kept records on gothic architecture.
