Lower & Upper School Potlucks – September weekends
Parent-only events hosted by parents as a way to get to know each other.
Upper School Parent Orientations – September 4 (6th gr ), August 30 (7th gr), August 29 (8th gr)
Brief introductions to Upper School life for parents.
Back to School Curriculum Night – September 19
A parent-only event in which teachers explain their curriculum plan for the year. The event includes a new parent orientation.
Black Pine Circle School Fall Picnic – September 23
A catered picnic held in Tilden Park with relay games and high-spirited fun! Held in honor of BPC’s founders.
K-5 Halloween Festival – October 31
An afternoon festival for parents and children including a costume parade, costume contests, haunted houses, treats and activity booths with prizes. Parents decorate, set-up and operate activity booths, serve refreshments, and clean up.
6-8 Community Service Day –October 23
A day devoted to student volunteerism for school and community betterment.
Java With John #1 – October 25
Open discussion forums with the principal for parents.
Grandparents, Godparents, & Special Older Friends Day – November 21
A day for extended family members and close family friends to visit our school. Includes brunch, a performance assembly, a Library fundraiser and Book Dedication, and classroom activities with their host student.
Concerts – December 13, 19, February 8, March 13, 21 & May 23
Students display their musical development with concerts showcasing their individual and ensemble talents. These concerts include the Winter, Small Ensemble, Large Ensemble, Solo Recital, and Spring Concerts.
State of the School – January 24
Learn about the operations, the current budget, programs, and aspirations of the school.

Celebrating diversity at BPC with an evening of family gathering, feasting, and multicultural entertainment.
8th Grade Drama Night – June 1
A special night of original stage productions created by 8th Grade Drama students.

A day of relay games at Aquatic Park with lunch prepared by BPC parents.
