This is KBPC’s thirtieth podcast and it’s all about NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) featuring Lindsey Grant, Program Director, and Chris Angotti, Director of the Young Writers Program as they are interviewed by Fourth grade students who participated in NaNoWriMo’s Young Writers Program. Kira Del Mar, Black Pine Circle’s 4th grade assistant teacher, inspired our school to participate, and with strong support from Lindsey and Chris, guided the 40 participating 4th and 5th grade students to complete a novel in one month. Ninety-four percent of the student writers completed their novels. Our announcer, Marina, a fellow writer, takes us behind the scenes with two segments. In the first segment our four students interview our guests, Lindsey and Chris about their work at the Office of Letters and Light. In the second segment, our guests interview the students, Alma, George, Haley and Daniel H., about their experiences writing a whole novel in only a month!
